Coming Back

Y’all, it has been a minute since I posted! (And by a minute, I mean the slang version that means a whole lot longer than a minute!) Lots of interesting things have gone on since oh…wow, has it really been since November?! One of the biggest pieces of news is that my rights have been reverted on Phantom Touch. Currently, the e-book is unavailable, but I’ll be re-releasing it soon for those who haven’t had a chance to read it, with a new cover and a few fixes. But even more exciting…a sequel! Woohoo! It was a great honor (and let’s be real, an ego boost) to constantly hear readers saying, “I want another one!” So, dear friends, your demands are going to be met. I’ve written a sequel to Phantom Touch, which I’m hoping to release before the end of the year. It’s a shorter novel, but I think you’re going to love it! So please keep checking back here for news and updates. I’ll also be announcing a giveaway shortly, so make sure you get in on...

Splash Into Summer

Well, it just wouldn’t be my blog without long absences, would it? After thirty years of being on Earth, I’m attempting to finally kick my procrastination habit in the butt and get myself in gear. I’ve pondered my work ethic pretty extensively, and I’ve come to realize that I’m not a lazy person. I get a LOT done. But I tend to let things pile up until the mere thought of doing them makes me want to hide under the covers. They’ll eventually get done, but I’m pretty sure I’ve already aged myself an extra ten years by doing it. In any case, this summer, I’ll be planning out some blog topics and trying to get in the habit of writing regularly. 🙂 For now, I wanted to share a couple of updates. I’ve been blogging with some very talented ladies and gentlemen over at  a blog called Darkly Delicious YA. Currently, we’re hosting a giveaway! It’s easy to enter, which means it’s even easier to win. Check it out! The other updates I wanted to share are about my own book, Phantom Touch. It’s been out for about eight months now, and in that time has won several honors! I was a finalist in the 2014 Yerby Award here in my hometown, and was the finalist (essentially 2nd place) in the Georgia Author of the Year contest for YA. Both of them were extremely exciting for me! Now I’m just writing and trying to make a go of this “being an author” thing! Stay tuned for what I hope will be more-frequent-than-every-four-months posts! 🙂...
